Some one left batteries in for an extended period of time. The batteries leaked damaging the transmitter. Listing includes the Locator, Transmitter, Leads, Inductive Clamp and Case. There is no AC adapter for the transmitter. Transmitter runs on 10 "D" Batteries (Not included). Transmitter and receiver both have an engraving from the previous owner (pictured).
