Description: Up for sale are two antique Mettlach 1/4 liter beer steins. Both of these steins are in excellent condition. The only imperfections are a couple of tiny superficial chips in the glaze on #1938 and a very small blemish to the ceramic on #1452. This actually appears to be something that happened in the molding process. Both lids are nice and tight, with the lid on #1452 being solid pewter rather than having a ceramic inlay like #1938. Additionally, the interior of the steins are both stained from apparent use. Approximate height of #1938 is a tad over 6". #1452 is just over 5.25". The markings on the bottoms indicate that #1938 was made in 1896, and #1452 was made in 1887. Thanks for looking.
