The bracket provided Is bare Aluminum. For the best finish, paint the bracket body color to blend and remain unnoticeable. Once the bracket is installed, simply raise the bonnet and place the “nut” end of the rod in the bracket and the rubber ball inside the round spring associated with the bonnet latch. Note: Be cautious about leaving your bonnet up in any windy conditions as damage might occur with any wind gust.
