Since this item is made by hand, there may be some anomalies and inconsistencies that you are not used to with boring, mass produced, pressed wood construction furniture such as the aforementioned effects of moisture evaporation, small rubs in the finish, uneven surfaces, small indentions and/or marks in upholstery, oxidation from tacks and others that are pretty much only visible upon close inspection.
