On the reverse of the sheet are the common and scientific names, botanical information about the plants--including some allegorical prose, and more specifics about the flowers.The print is a true stone chromolithograph with the distinctive saturated color and depth. It is an attractive work, with special attention to detail and accurate hue.This is a bookplate from the 1894 first edition of: "Wild Flowers of America" prepared by Botanical Fine Art Weekly. "Flowers of Every State in the American Union by a special corps of Artists from the United States and Europe." I've matted and framed several of these, and they look very nice.
