Important Avoid testing EEV motors if the drive pin is not attached to the coil, when it is removed from the valve. The pin should be located on the bottom of the coil/motor. If the center is open/ hollow, do not energize. If you are able to see the valve slot in the center of the coil, do not test with the tool or damage may occur. Testing for these types of motors should be conducted with said motor attached to the valve. You will find basic instructions on how to check in the included manual. Though tests reveal that usage on hollow coils removed from their valve yield no apparent coil damage, with sound valve operation; please adhere to instructions to refrain from using tool on the aforesaid coil/motors. Furthermore, attempting to test the aforementioned coils will provide no troubleshooting benefit, as response operation to tester command signals cannot be monitored or observed for obvious reasons.
