Description: We bought this from Modest Mike about 1 year ago and only used it for a little bit - in good working conditionThe Following description is from Modest Mikes Website: When you first step on this TS9DX, you are going to hear the best sounding Tube Screamer, period. It’s got our best TS808 Plus mod. We replace capacitors and resistors with high quality metal film resistors and caps, some with different values to improve the tone and eliminate noise. There is a lot of talk about the "mid-range hump" from Tube Screamers. Some folks like it, others don't... and this seems to become a big factor when deciding to buy or not to buy a Tube Screamer. When these pedals were first made back in the days I used to play (yep, I'm getting old), most amps did not have good mid-range capabilities. This pedal also now also has a couple of Keeley mods that give it about twice the amount of available gain, and also the ability to clean up better when you back off the controls. The op amp has been replaced with the JRC4558D. Send us a quick email if you prefer the RC4558P.And of course, we put in a nice, bright, clear-to-blue LED. We also drilled and installed a toggle switch for an optional bass boost for when you use this pedal on the normal TS9 setting. We also drilled a half inch hole, installed a 3PDT footswitch, and rewired this pedal for true bypass. This seems to be a big selling point for some folks. True bypass is a good thing, but there is no need to go true bypass crazy. If you have several pedals in a chain, you need some of them to be regular buffered bypass pedals. If
