Directed by and starring Chaplin, this film boasts a co-writing credit with Orson Welles. In this film Charlie plays a bigamist serial killer who finds it an almost impossible task to dispatch his latest wife, play magnificently by Martha Raye. Though not a huge commercial success at the time of its release, this movie has become highly regarded by most Chaplin fans over the past decades. This poster is from the first release of the movie in Belgium after the end of WWII (probably 1947). It features wonderful portrait art of Chaplin and even a small homage to his little tramp character. This poster seldom comes up for sale or auction and would make a wonderful addition to your Chaplin or classic comedy movie poster collection. Artwork is completely intact and colors bright and vivid. Originally folded as issued, this poster has been stored flat for 14 years and will be shipped rolled in a sturdy tube or box.
