Description: This 1984 stereo LP from EMI Angel Digital's Reflexe series (S-38030) features a performance of Monteverdi's Venetian vesper music from Selva morale et spirituale (1610). It is performed by the Taverner Consort, conducted by its founder Andrew Parrott. Featured soloists include Emma Kirkby (soprano), Rogers Covey-Crump (tenor), Nigel Rogers (tenor), and David Thomas (bass). The sleeve contains a large (album-sized) insert with the libretto in Latin and English. Album notes are in English, by James H. Moore and Andrew Parrott. The outer sleeve shows a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back (Photo 2). The plastic inner sleeve is brittle with age, and has begun to chip and split along the edges.
