Description: Beautiful copy of the 1976 pressing of Monteverdi’s Vespro della Beata Vergine, conducted by Nikolaus Harnoncourt, on Telefunken Das Alte Werk double LP boxed set SAWT-9501/02-A. As you all know, Harnoncourt was the conductor who really brought Monteverdi back from the forgotten dead with his magnificent recording of L’Orfeo, followed by this equally marvelous recording, I believe the first ever recorded version of this music, and in my opinion the best. Just a spectacular recording. Both discs are pretty much perfectly mint and play flawlessly and just beautifully, and the box only has light signs of gentle use. All the corners are intact, as well as the hinge. The booklet is also included, and only has light signs of use as well. This is a truly top copy of this classic. Near impossible to beat.
