This miniature specimen features white montmorillonite in matrix from the Bolet area where many ancient mines exist. The specimen was originally described as corrensite, but later analysis determined the material to be a mix of montmorillonite and rhodochrosite. With a microscope you can see a massive crystalline structure in the white areas. The specimen comes from the collection of Alan Parker.
