This stunning piece of craftsmanship comes from a historic home on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and is a true statement piece for any Victorian or commercial setting. Key Features: Massive Size: This sideboard measures 105 inches tall, 67 inches wide, and 24 inches deep at the base. Beautiful Marble Top: The white and gray grain marble top adds elegance and measures 37.5 inches high from the base, with an additional 68 inches from the marble to the top. Exquisite Craftsmanship: The sideboard boasts three small drawers across the top of the base, three center drawers of varying heights, two doors with burl walnut panels, and cast brass hardware. Carved Details: The outside columns are intricately carved and diamond notched, complemented by button edge routed carved shelf supports, pillars, big round balls, and notch molding. Mirror and Fretwork: The mirror glass measures 23 inches wide by 35 inches high, flanked by fruit tree carvings. The back also features raised burl panels, and the top is adorned with a broken arch and a hand-carved floral crest. Unique Story: The right-hand cutout fretwork on top is incomplete, lacking incised carving and a round button, adding character and a unique history to this piece. Condition: Repairs: The bottom shoe supports that rest on top of the marble have been repaired to hold up the first shelf. There's a slight coloration difference, but they are structurally sound. Hardware Adjustments: The two outside drawers on the top row had their double handles removed and replaced with a single pull in the center. The escutcheons on the doors have been replaced. Wear: The mirror has some silver loss in the middle, and there's some finish loss from years of use. However, overall, the piece is in good condition and ready to be the focal point of your space.
