Description: This is a rare fold-open advertising herald (flyer) promoting the National Tour engagement of the ARISTOPHANES play "LYSISTRATA" at the Majestic Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The first production of "Lysistrata" took place at the Lenaeum Theatre in Athens, Greece in January, 411 B.C. This revival opened June 5th, 1930 at the Forty-Fourth Street Theatre in New York City and ran for 252 performances.) .....
