It comes with many of the tools of the trade, including 4 prepared slides, stains, blank slides, cover slips, tweezers If you have a serious scientist in your house, this is the microscope you need. It was used some and one of the stains is almost empty and I didn't see any new cover slips everything else is present and in relatively good condition. The box is in pretty good condition and everything is packed away as it was brand new. Not perfect like some stains on one of the slide boxes and stains in the battery compartment from some forgotten batteries but it's cleaned and ok. The light was tested and it is working fine. Batteries are not included. The manual is in excellent shape and in the top of the box. Please inspect the photos carefully as they are part of this discription. This set is ready to go for a new future scientist. This is a really nice set , it's fun to use.
