Description: This postcard-- published by F. W. Woolworth Company out of New York City-- shows "Abbott Square And Soldiers' Monument, Nashua, N.H." According to my research, The Sailors and Soldiers Monument in Abbott Square was erected in 1889 and is dedicated to the "patriotism and valor of the thirteen hundred and fifty five men" (from Nashua) who served in the American Civil War. According to records, there is a time capsule, a box, that was buried underneath The Sailors and Soldiers Monument in 1889 when the monument was dedicated. The box allegedly contains over 30 items, including autograph signatures of the United States President and Vice President from that time, which I suspect would be President Benjamin Harrison and Vice President Levi Parsons Morton. The postcard was postmarked in February of 1915 in Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, and sent to Bennington, Bennington County, Vermont. After the years the postcard may show some typical wear.
