I now listen to every record I sell from beginning to end and grade on how it sounds. After all, the way it sounds is far more important than the way it looks. A record can look NM or VG+ , but skip or otherwise sound terrible. Conversely, they can look terrible, but sound great, with little to no noise. It doesn't matter how good a visual grader you are, it is sometimes just impossible to tell without playing it all the way through. VISUAL GRADING is nothing more than a guess!
