Lyon, 1st Lt. 2nd Inf.y”, one page, docketing on the reverse, Tacubaya Mexico, Dec 31st, 1847, to Col Geo. Bomford, Chief of Ordinance, Washington, D.C., by the first Union general killed in the American Civil War. Here he reports from Mexico during the Mexican-American War.
