Description: This is a very fine example of a Southwest Native American basket. This style is typically attributed to the Pima tribe of Arizona and New Mexico. This one is in particularly good condition considering the age (likely made around the 1870-1880's). The Height is 5", the base diameter is 6 3/4", the top diameter is 7 1/2". The basket is almost perfect, with excellent contrast between the light and dark fibers. They don't get much better than this!
