History of the silversmith: This inlay pendant was made by award-winning Navajo jewelry artist Benson Manygoats. Benson Manygoats was born and raised in Tohatchi, New Mexico. Mostly self-taught in his early start, Benson Manygoats became a renowned high-quality jewelry silversmith. In high school, he learned to cut metal and solder; and he experimented with mosaic inlay. Benson later worked for celebrated jewelry artist & jewelry designer Ray Tracey for about 12 years, where he excelled. Benson Manygoats has been designing & creating his own jewelry since approximately 2002. An exceptional jewelry artist & craftsman, Benson has been recognized with numerous awards for his fine jewelry. He is particularly known for his precise work and beautifully crafted inlay jewelry.
