Conditon is VG Notes from Tech Dynaco SCA-80Q work done: Replaced all electrolytic capacitors. Three smaller-diameter capacitors required new clamps and holes drilled in the chassis. Output radio-frequency inductors (coils of white wire) wrapped around output coupling capacitors were taped together and left in place. Three-section can capacitor was replaced with three discrete capacitors mounted on a terminal strip. Right channel preamp board was noisy; resoldered connections to remedy. Replaced missing rear screw. Removed chassis dust and dirt as best as possible. Cleaned inside and out. Checked all inputs for proper operation. Checked power fuse for proper type and value. Ran several hours as a “burn-in” check. Notes: This is not an easy model to service, as it requires partial disassembly to access several board-mountedcapacitors. Bass control is bad but semi-functional.
