Near-Perfect Antique Roseville Pottery Dahlrose Cabinet or Flower Vase 6" Tall

Description: Featured in this auction is an antique flower vase or cabinet vase made by Roseville Pottery somewhere in the 1920s. This gorgeous example of early Roseville is unmarked but is identified in Roseville Pottery reference guides as being from the "Dahlrose" line. This piece would most likely have originally had a paper or foil label on the base to identify it as Roseville Pottery. The vase has a slender urn shape with two angular handles at the collared rim along with a motif of daisies encircling the shoulder. This vase is in excellent, near-mint condition with no chips, no cracks, only very-light crazing, and no repairs. There are some tiny glaze bubbles inside the bottom of the piece. This gorgeous finish is a carnelian or russet-colored underglaze with a matte blue-green overdrip onto handpainted flowers that has curdled beautifully on the piece. The drip glazes are muted yet vibrant, and produce a wonderful, mottled color combination on the textured background. The thicker glazes were ground flat on the base to level it, and there are a few tiny grinding slivers on the base rim. This vase is just over 6" tall, 3-1/4" wide at the handles, and about 1-1/2" wide at the mouth. The piece is very clean both inside and out. Check out all 9 photos!
