On my own Holiday Express train, I have the Santa's Mailbox accessory car that has Santa on his rocking chair, reading his list. Years ago my son asked me why there was two Santa's on the train? From then on it had started to bug me that there were two Santa's on board. I didn't want to get rid of the Mailbox Car so I yanked the dis-proportionally large Santa from the locomotive and adding a closed roof from a battery powered New Bright train that I had (the rare battery powered trains don't have the large Santa). I think this now looks much better; have a look. If you don't like to 2 Santa look, I think you'll agree. This conversion was done to a strong, smooth running engine, no jerky motions or hesitations.I have one of these on my own personal train set under the tree and I recently built this one to sell off. I tested this on my 10 car train and it pulls strong. I have also cleaned the wheel bands to provide excellent traction. All the lights works as does the animated elf on top. It is fully plug-in compatible with the entire single wire Holiday Express train line up (380, 383, 384, 385, 386 & 387 series).The delicate cattle grate on the front will be removed for shipping to prevent damage.
