The body is of course all solid wood, with Sitka spruce for the top and mahogany for the sides and back. This top board has been "Thermally Aged" processing, which helps to reproduce the vintage sound. The pickguard with the hummingbird is a cast pickguard based on the manufacturing method of the time, and is engraved. The hand scalloped X-bracing and the dovetail neck joint with glue are familiar specifications. The thin lacquer finish is half the thickness of a normal one, and it is also V.O.S. (Vintage Original Spec) specification. The sound is wide and wide, as expected from a square shoulder, and the response is good, and even if you play it lightly, it sounds like the whole body.
