Description: Ethically-produced bucket bags are one-of-a-kind - each bag is made by hand and unique in it's color and design. Bags are woven with sisal and recycled wool (natural + synthetic) and finished with leather straps and wooden beads by a member of Kenya’s highly talented Kamba tribe, working within a fair trade cooperative. Each bag takes 5 to 7 days to make and the weaving normally takes place in amongst farming, housework, and church. Basket weaving is a reliable source of additional income to the makers, whose livelihoods otherwise depend on the unpredictable nature of agricultural work. Please see pictures for measurements.
