Product Description: This offering is for a new-old-stock SR Custom seatpost measuring 27.0 mm in diameter. These vintage Japanese-made seatposts are easily the oldest of the SR branded seatposts we have available at this time, as there is a mid 70's production date stamped on each pillar. Please also note the classic (old-style) saddle clamp design, which reminds us of some of the vintage Campy seatposts from many years ago. Seatpost specs. include a total length of 190 mm (or 130 mm from the limit line to the middle of the saddle clamp). The off set on this particular post is in the 25 mm range (and we define off set as the horizontal distance from the center of the post/pillar to the pivot point on these old-style saddle clamps). We also noted these seatposts weigh-in at approximately 295 grams (per our digital postal scale. As for their cosmetic condition, the silver finish still shows fairly well overall, but please expect some shopwear-type marks (scuffs and scratches) on the pillar. They were bulk packed in a small crate and individually wrapped in plastic bags, so they have been preserved reasonably well over the years.
