Description: New & Unsmoked Ser Jacopo Smooth "Albatro" with Long Ivoroid Shank & Silver Band This Ser Jacopo pipe is new and unsmoked. This is an interesting pipe which Giancarlo calls an ALBATRO or albatross. It is an homage to the first briar pipes which used the thin, long and hollow bones of an albatross for the shank. The bowl of this pipe is somewhat like an Acorn, but you can use the photos to get a good idea of the shape. The briar shank has a thin sterling silver band and then you have the stem which consists of a short bit made of black plexiglass and a long piece of Ivoroid (in place of the albatross bone) which then has the black plexiglass mouthpiece. The nomenclature is stamped on the two sides and bottom of the shank. This is in the smooth L1 smooth finish. In Ser Jacopo grading of smooth pipes, there's L1, L2 and then into the Gem Series.. The pipe pictured is the pipe you will receive.Purchase is for the pipe only, no box and no sleeve.The stem of this pipe is handmade from Lucite / acrylic / plexiglas and will not tarnish.The pipe will be packed with the stem separated from the bowl for safety and shipped insured.This pipe DOES NOT use a filter.
