Description: This is a previously smoked estate pipe from Savinelli of Italy. It has been cleaned & buffed by master pipe maker Tim West & is ready to be smoked again. It was part of my late fathers collection. The pipe is a wonderful light brown color now but I think it started life as a smooth Natural & after many many years of smoking it has darkened with a nice patina. The vulcanite stem is in good condition and the 3 gold dots are crisp. I am quite sure this pipe pre-dates the introduction of the 6mm balsa wood filters as it does not use a filter. Markings are...LA SAVINELLI, GIUBILEO D ORO, S (shield logo), 611KS ITALY. Weight is 1.6 oz, length is about 5 3/4", height is about 2", bowl top diameter is about 1 1/2", bowl chamber is about 7/8". Stamping is a little light from years of buffing but other than that this pipe is in very good condition. This pipe is the cream of the crop from Savinelli and my asking price is very fair but if you prefer to have a brand new pipe you can pay almost $700 on another pipe site.
