It is the original release version and not the one with the orange band on the top area. These ones are quite hard to find new now!All photos are of the actual item you will receive. It is 100% authentic and been stored safely for decades!It comes with the original factory cellophane and is in excellent condition! I did see one light non-piercing mark/scratch that I tried to get an up close photo of, but it is quite faint. It's the photo with the blue arrow on it. There are also two lines in a dotted pattern over and under the 'inte' in 'Nintendogs' on the front that seem to just be in the cellophane since they are fairly light. I didn't get a direct photo of them, but will try to upload one soon. You can slightly see it in the photo with the bright light on the front of it. Please message me if the up close photo of them are not posted yet and you need to see them sooner. Otherwise there is light general storage wear to the cellophane that I mostly only see under a bright light, like surface scratches for example. Zooming in on photos helps to see the overall condition, so I encourage you to do so. I do not use terms like 'mint' or 'near mint' and etc, since everyone's opinions (especially fellow collectors) can vary. But it is a very nice piece and looks great displayed in my opinion! Please check the photos carefully! Especially so if you get your games graded, as I cannot guarantee what any game would grade at. I am not an expert!I thoroughly checked the entire game and see no other damage than what is stated above.
