Description: Vintage Clay North Dakota Badlands Pottery Vase with Wide Mouth. The vase is 5 5/8 inches tall and 4 inches across center and the opening is 3 3/4 inches rim to rim edges. There is a slight indent under the rim which look like a Thumb Impression most likely but not obvious. You have to look for it to find it. These are a little on the Primitive Side and were made to sell as Souvenirs. The Side Seams have been sanded but show a bit on vase. The rim is also a little rough to feel as made. The North Dakota Pottery seems to have a thicker application of Swirl Paints moreso than the Nemadji I have purchased. These are Vat Dipped Items which achieve the Colorful Designs you see. Exterior of vase is Bare Clay and interior is glazed. As noted the glazed towards bottom of the vase is light. Each Vat Dipped Pottery Piece will be unigue. I have other Nemadji Pottery in shop. Nemadji is a personal favorite of mine so I always look for it. Purchaser to pay shipping.
