Numbers 51 and to 750 were offered to Schwinn dealers and the general public.Numbers 1 to 50 were designated for Schwinn family and employees ONLY. NOS SCHWINN PARAMOUNT OS 1988 50th Anniversary Frame 55cm 24K GOLD FORK & Rear Triangle Shimano EF Track Drop-outs. Includes "Paramount" black A-9 headset made by Stronglight. The 1989 True Temper OverSize Heat Treated tubing was in the building at Paramount Design by Sept. 1988.Date code on BB shows "J" , which denotes the 9th month, Sept. The letter "I" was not used. An employee thinking of an eventual retirement built himself an Anniversary bike. Color is Smoked Candy Apple Red which was Never offered as a color option in 1988. All OS frames also have the signature 1 1/8" ST flaring to 1 1/4" at the BB. This has stock Geometry for a 1988 Track bike, 550mm. This has been in a box for decades.Rear Spacing = 120mm, Front =100mm, Rake is 30mm, Head angle is 74˚. Frame ships with Insurance and Delivery confirmation via BikeFlights. Fork Lower vent holes show light corrosion. Because all the Gold plating is also clear coated I thought it best not to mess with it. NO International shipping as there is no Insurance available.
