There is a listed maximum of 18 tooth spread between chainwheels. The cage is for full size road chainwheels so ultra small compact setups will not perform very well. Example Chainwheels Sizes like 48x30, 50x32, 52x34. Cage is long wearing chrome steel. At 102 grams it is suitable for hill climbs, triathlons, time trials and fast riding. UNIQUE FEATURE: Removable cable stop!!! Most Suntour LEPREE FD-3400 units do not have this! If not needed it can easily be bypassed or removed with "C" clip snap ring. This derailleur is a bottom pull design that works with a modern bare cable and also with a fixed cable stop common on many 80s British, French, Japanese and older Italian and American bikes. The cable stop is unique in that is threaded on, pivots for the correct angle as the front derailleur shifts and is removable with finger pressure ( last four photos show this ).
