Description: Collectors Disc, Good Shape for the age! About the mold:The Beast-X is the original Beast that was released in 2002. When the Orc came out in 2004, Dave Dunipace thought the discs were too similar and retooled the Beast mold making it less stable. For several years, all Beasts in production were of the retooled L mold. When the mold broke and Innova ordered a new Beast mold they were shipped the original mold. To differentiate between stock they began stamping beasts with the Beast-X moniker. The Beast-L flies 10/5/-2/2 and the Beast-X flies 10/5/-1/2. Some notes on the plastic:Pro Lineplastic is not the same as modernProplastic. From 2000 to 2002 Innova made a unique translucent blend of plastic and called itChampionEdition. From 2003 to 2004 the name changed toPro LineorCandy Pro. In 2004 the name of this blend was changed toChampionand thats the name they stuck with. As a result there is a lot of confusion betweenChampion Edition, Pro Line, Candy Pro, and Champion. To add to the confusion, there are variations within each blend ranging from opaque, pearly, and firm to crystal clear, soft, and gummy, to cloudy and tacky. You will see the same type of variation in theJK Pro Valkyriesand11x KC Proplastic. The pearly, stiffCE/Pro Linereportedly tends to be more overstable whereas the gummy, clearCE/Pro Lineare usually a bit touchier and the cloudy, tackyCE/Pro Linefalls right in the middle. ModernProplastic was formulated as a step aboveDXbut belowChampion
