Description: Old Cast Metal Bronzed WESTERN COWBOY SCULPTURE, Sleeping With Rifle & Bottle Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE CAST METAL WESTERN COWBOY SCULPTURE Wonderful vintage cast metal Western cowboy bronzed sculpture mounted on oval wood base - measures about 6" long, 4" wide and 2-1/2" deep. Featuring a cowboy resting against his saddle, he holds a bottle in one hand and his rifle in the other. Wearing hat and boots, detail is wonderful! I can find no label or maker's made, but assuming 1970s or 1980s based on the estate at which it was recently acquired. Condition is very good with no damage to the wood - figure looks great other than the rifle is bent as shown due to the soft spelter or lead metal used in the casting - I was afraid to straighten since it is very fragile. With a loop, I can see casting flaws and minor manufacture irregularities - none of this detracts.
