The item is an original vintage Japanese woodblock print of a crane bird. The item is framed in a painted black wood frame under glass (see photos). The item is not an original woodblock by the Japanese artist: Kawano Kaoru 1916-1965 (see photos). The woodblock print is an original limited edition woodblock print signed by the artist, and it is numbered #15 (see photos). The item is from an estate liquidation. This item measures in total framed about 8.375 inches high, and it is about 10.375 inches wide. The printed color image portion of the woodblock measures 4.5 inches high, and it is about 5.75 inches wide. I opened the framed print for additional photographs. The wood frame has some scuffs, some paint losses and some wear. The woodblock print has been protected under glass and has minimal wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice original Kawano Kaoru Japanese signed and numbered limited edition Woodblock print to add to your collection. He received his art education at the Kawabata Art School. His acclaim reached international heights through solo exhibitions held in North America and various other locations.
