Description: Reduced from $85 to $29 each through November This is an ORIGINAL Oregon Pacific and Eastern Railroad poster advertisement on heavy stock paper. It’s 23” x 14”. I purchased these from a salvager who tore down one of their buildings in Cottage Grove. Here is some history on this railroad line. The Oregon and Southeastern railroad (O&SE) began near Eugene Oregon in 1904. O&SE's line ran 18 miles along the Row River between Cottage Grove Disston Oregon. It was used for logging and transportation. The Oregon, Pacific & Eastern Railway Company incorporated in 1912, purchased the physical assets of the O&SE two years later, and shortened their total track to operate approximately 16.6 miles from an interchange yard with the Southern Pacific Railroad in Cottage Grove. It was later converted to a scenic railway totaling 35 miles round trip , transporting people through the lush forests and along the Row River. The railroad and its ownership abandoned the right of way to the property in 1994 and was reverted to the State of Oregon to become one of the first-ever Government/Private Sector cooperative partnerships “Rails to Trails” programs in the USA This will be rolled and shipped in a tube to protect it from damage. ***Sold and shipped to the lower 48 states only.***
