We are selling the book on behalf of family friends of the Keseys. The elder couple who brought us this book to sell offers this story as provenance: "My wife and I discovered a signed copy of Ken Kesey’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest when we were helping my parents move from their home in Eugene. We were instantly puzzled when we came across the book in a small bookshelf. We really don’t know how Ken and my father came to know each other. It’s possible that one connection might have been the fact that my father was a track athlete at the University of Oregon. Another connection could have been both were members of the same fraternity on the Oregon Campus. My parents previously lived in the Pleasant Hill area before moving to Eugene in 1980. Ken Kesey and his family purchased a farm on Ridgeway Road in 1965. According to several accounts, Ken was involved with the Wrestling Program at Pleasant Hill High School. My father was a member of the Pleasant Hill School Board for a number of years and knew the previous owners of Ken’s farm."
