There are ancient areas of chipping losses to the side edges around the headdress & one foot is missing. The figure has no cracks & no repairs. The figure has not been cleaned & the surface patina has not been tampered with. The figure exhibits a pleasing honest encrusted surface patina & a visual quality acquired from many hundreds of years of age. This charming ancient figure is from the estate of an old time collector from Reading, Pa. who acquired his ancient pieces in the 1950's-1960's. We acquired a small number of items from his estate over a decade ago & have just decided to offer them for sale. We have not attempted to attribute this pottery figure to a specific pre-columbian culture. But, we guarantee that this is an original piece of ancient pre-columbian pottery.
