Description: Original Early WW2 British Civil Defence Anti-Gas Helmet Cover 1939 RARE Genuine period anti-gas helmet cover as used by civil defence workers such as ARP Wardens on the home front during the Second World War. The cover is an early pre war variant which tucks underneath the liner of a MkII helmet (see pictures). The cover appears to be a rubberised canvas with a anti-gas treatment to the exterior to protect the wearer. The helmet cover is in good original condition with no tears or damage. The only defect being some stains from age/storage. The cover features a stamp with a British government issue royal creast PC 2 approved and dated 1939.
