Description: Here we present a fabulous, dramatic ivory wool evening or daytime coat created during the fashionable era of the Titanic. It is in wearable condition and would be stunning and warm for any of the upcoming seasonal strolls and events. Of course it looks beautiful on our dress form as well and would be an outstanding addition to any vintage wardrobe or collection for display in your home or shop. The woman modelling the coat wears a size medium, and because of the luxurious full sweep of the gathered wool in the back, this coat would be appropriate for a woman needing a size 8 or 10, if worn. The condition is noteworthy, considering its age, and its beauty would be difficult to overestimate. However, please examine all photos carefully, noticing small reminders here and there of its age and authenticity, for example, tiny brownish areas. The coat's collar is trimmed in ermine fur, and the gorgeous voluminous sleeves are finished at the bottom with ivory satin to match the lining. The buttons are covered to match the wool, and the soutache style trim down the front and near the button closures add another stylish touch. The only serious damage on this piece can be found inside on the lining in the back beneath the collar. Although it does not show when worn or displayed, it is indeed in need, and worthy of repair. Following are the approximate measurements:Length from top of shoulder to bottom of coat 52"Length of sleeve from armpit to end of satin 16"Width from shoulder seam to shoulder seam 20"Bust, including back fullness 48"
