Description: You are bidding on an antique, original photograph on thick cardboard mount of three young soldiers. I have researched this as best as I could ( not an expert on photos or military). Estimating Spanish American War or Indian Wars era. It appears to me to be 3 young cadets/soldiers in a military camp in West Point ?? cadet uniforms. I have also seen similar uniforms mentioned as early West Point Band uniforms. They are posed in front of their rifles. Review photo and use your own judgement. (also see comments below from other helpful ebayers) An Ebayer emailed me that "these are Springfield 1873 rifles, so may be a few years post Civil War". You be the judge. More info from another Ebayer:"They wear the Pattern 1895 Undress uniform coat with hidden closure and the weapons are the .45-70 Trapdoor Springfield rifles fielded by the Army in the 1870's. You can see the breech hinge on top of the barrel between the hammer and the rear sight." You also be the judge on this info. It does have some damage to the image, and someone at a later date placed a “puppies” sticker on the backside. I have not tried to remove it. It feels like a thicker cardboard mount and looks like it was possibly trimmed/cropped. It measures 4 x 4 1/2 inches. SEE PHOTOS for complete description.
