Description: Item : This colorful impressionist painting was done by Southwest artist Darrell Thomas. It shows an inviting home in the Southwest painted in soft orange with turquoise trim. The front yard has an old picket fence and a large stand of red hollyhocks. The painting is on canvas and is signed in the lower left. The painting measures 8" by 10" and with frame it measures 17 5/8" by 19 5/8". The painting has been beautifully framed with a heavy wooden gold painted frame. Both the painting and frame are in excellent condition. Darrell studied art at the Utah State University and worked as an illustrator / graphic designer in California and Utah for 20 years. In 1993 Darrell left his career as a commercial artist for the world of fine art.
