Description: This was published on the rumors that the Germans beheaded the crown prince. He actually ended up dying in 1951 of a heart attack. He had collaborated with the Reich in the 1930s until it became clear they had no intention of re-installing the monarchy. Germans did keep him under house arrest throughout the war. This is a vintage original silver gelatin print from the archives of the Minneapolis Journal (1888-1939.) The paper merged with the Minneapolis Star to form the Star-Journal in 1939. All of these images are of the former Emperor of Germany and Prussian King Wilhelm II or his family. The photos appear to be all printed after his abdication in 1918 at the end of The Great War. Some images are from an earlier time in his or his family's life, but were printed for news distribution after his exile to The Netherlands. The Kaiser died in 1941. They come from many different news sources including the Associated Press, Keystone, Acme Photos and others. Please check out the caption material on the back of each print for more information about each individual photo. The photos will be shipped in stiff cardboard envelopes marked "DO NOT BEND" using USPS Ground Advantage. I will combine shipping either by invoice if this is an auction or as a refund if this is a Buy It Now. This is a collectable vintage photograph from my collection. My inventory ranges from 19th century prints to abstract snapshots and Polaroids dating into the 1970s. All of my photographs are in varying condition. Please closely examine my photos of the photos for possible wear and tear. I am going to try and list an auction of photos every week moving forward. Please save me a seller and check in once in awhile. Please give me a shout if you have questions. THE FINE PRINT AND FAQS: 1. I will combine shipping when possible. If an auction, wait for an invoice with shipping charges combined, or pay if you like and I will refund the extra shipping in the form of a refund. If a Buy it Now, go ahead a pay the total and I will again refund the extra shipping in the form of a refund. 2. Carefully examine my studio-quality photographs. I do my best to document any flaws or issues. I tend to go overboard in showing flaws. I hate surprises when I buy on eBay as much as you do. I also do my best to accurately describe the items I find. Some categories I know better than others. I will tell you what I know and what I have researched. After that you are on your own. Please ask questions and I will help out if I can. Some eBayers have been very generous helping me out with the nuances of certain categories. Feel free to help me out with your knowledge. I welcome your expertise and enjoy learning about new stuff. 3. I would like payment with 48 hours of your auction win. If for some reason you can not meet that time frame, please let me know within that 48 hours and I will work with you. If you can not meet this requirement, please do not bid. 4. I basically sell "As Is." That said, I will accept returns if I have been negligent in my listing information. This includes outright mistakes, misrepresentations, or any errors on my part. I do not know everything about everything (don't tell my kids that please). If you are not sure about something and want to "try it out" at home before having "Buyer's remorse," please do not bid. Every auction or estate sale I go to is "as is." I do better than that with my return policy. I mess up once in a while and I have honored all returns. Please respect this policy.
