Description: Original WW1 Australian 'Rising Sun' hat badge - Slider Variant. This badge with the slider was worn by Troopers in the Australian Light Horse Regiments. It is made from copper which has been 'blackened' and it is a General Issue Badge. Maker is unknown. It has the original brass slider which has not been repaired. The same badge is featured in the book by J.K.
