Description: Offered here is a belted WW2 jacket for a named officer in the US 4th Armor Corps in wonderful condition. There is a maker’s label inside that says "Lauterstein’s", and inside interior pocket, "Lewis Military Supply Co. San Antonio, Texas, and the owner's name, Carlos Lanter, with a date of 10/20/41. (It was sold to me as “1941” but I believe it might be “1948”). Dark olive wool lined in satin with brass buttons. Measures 38 inches around chest at level of upper pocket buttons with 24 inch sleeves from point of shoulder. The jacket was used in a display honoring general Douglas Mac Arthur and was adorned with the appropriate insignias, badges. and ribbons, including his corn cob pipe (see last photo) that I am offering in other listings. This listing is for the jacket, AS WELL AS the khaki shirt, (long sleeve, 14 inch collar, epaulettes, two button pockets, 5 star general collar stars ) and a khaki tie (with label still attached). Although Gen. Mac Arthur was not actually in the 4th Armor Corps, I thought it prudent not to remove the original division arm patch. So…named officers jacket, shirt and tie in this listing. I will combine purchases bought within a few days of each other but you must alert me. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS
