Primarily known as a sculptor, but also produced paintings and lithographs. XXe Siècle - Featuring Original Works by Important Modernists like Chagall, Miró Ernst and many others well-known Artists. The founder of the publication XXe Siècle was an Italian-born art historian Gualtieri di San Lazzaro (1904-1974). XXe Siècle published articles about the twentieth-century’s most influential artists alongside original lithographic prints by those very artists. The periodical was published intermittently between 1938 and San Lazzaro’s death in 1974, for a total of about sixty issues
