Description: In the coming months I am converting a tiny fraction of my several tons of exotic hardwoods back into cash- the good stuff that rarely makes it back to market. I had this stuff drying indoors in a heated space for a decade or more and some of it dates all the way back to 1992 when I began collecting the prettiest wood I could find from around the world. If you have a question, please ask it before purchasing- I know my wood and will answer within a few hours most of the time. All dimensions are +/- 1/16" but tend to be more accurate. If there are defects that I can see that I think would cause a problem I will note it in the description. Burls and live edge may have natural internal flaws. If you want the best, you'll likely find it here. If you don't like it when you get it, just return it for exchange, credit or refund, your choice. Enjoy the eye candy and I hope to see pics of the knife or gun, etc, that was made with my scales or micro lumber. Thanks for looking! Next up for sale:. Outstanding Stabilized Amboyna Burl block #5444, mimics Honduran Rosewood Burl. Dimensions are a large 9 1/8" x 2" x 1 1/8" for this block. This stuff is honestly pretending to be Honduran Rosewood Burl, I assume caused by some used resin that must have picked up a chemical from the last batch stabilized by it that darkened and browned the Amboyna. It has been professionally stabilized with the finest resin and is hard, heavy and ready for your project. Amboyna is a top shelf rare exotic itself, but Honduran Rosewood Burl goes for one to two thousand dollars a board foot in this quality range. This won't disappoint no matter what you call it or what you intend to make from it. I have always had a great eye for the prettiest woods and this is one of the finest slabs I have stabilized- worthy of gallery or museum quality work. Gun grip blanks, hidden tang, box wood, micro lumber, knife scales, etc. Please note that the color you see on your screen may be different than the color I see on my screen so please ask questions if precise color or shade is important for your project. Photos are of the blank dry, sanded to 240 grit to give an idea what it will look like finished. Just try to imagine how nice this will look with your favorite finish applied!
