Movement: Carefully serviced, this Caliber 27 Tissot movement is marked Tissot Swiss, serial number 1,339,000, dating this watch to about 1943. The Caliber 27 was Tissot's workhorse movement. In production from 1936 to the early 1950s, this is one of the most reliable movements you can find. The movement is fully serviced and keeping time. Dial and Hands: Marked Tissot Antimagnetique, the dial is a naturally aged gold-toned. Truly an amazing patina! Photos say it all. All original hands typical of Tissot watches from this era. Case: The caseback is stainless steel (acier inoxydable), and marked with case number 1293844, and Tissot Fab Suisse. The bezel and main case are chromed brass. Original patina retained and as you can see in the photos some loss of chrome and a bit of pitting. Photos tell it all. In our opinion an authentic vintage appearance.
