Straight from the opening salvo, "The Plot Against My Love," this release hits listeners like a barbed wire wrecking ball. Although there are delicate moments throughout ("See We Have Lost Our Will"), they seemingly exist only to lull the listener into a false sense of security. With a flawless, immediate blend of sheer weight and dizzyingly chops-oriented song structures, not to mention singer Sean Ingram's vein-busting roars, OX is an album well worth the 10-year wait.
