Description: Pair of Western Electric 618B input transformers from the 1940s, widely regarded as one of the best MC step-up transformers ever made. The paint on the cans of both transformers have peeled off quite a bit, and the printing is hardly readable anymore. But please be assured that this is a bona fide pair of WE 618B's which are in perfect working order, and, I must add, sound great! This pair is installed on two lovely hammertone green aluminium boxes bought years back in Akihabara, Tokyo. Western Electric Nassau solder was used on the solder joints. Price is for the pair.
