Pair Vintage 1950s 1960s Star Lamps Ceramic Wood Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting

Description: Item: How flippin' cool are these!? For your consideration we are presenting for sale a set of vintage table lamps that date back to the '50s / '60s. The bases are constructed of textured ceramic in an off-white color, and they have cut-out star patterns along the surface. The ceramic is sandwiched between a slender wooden neck and round wooden base. The lamps have a standard on/off rotary knob switch which allows for three-way functionality: one twist illuminates the main socket, a second twist lights up a smaller socket contained on the inside of the lamp (clamped into the underside of the base - that's how it is designed - see photos), and a third twist lights up both sockets at the same time. When the smaller socket is lit, it casts nice reflections (again, see photos). We are uncertain of the maker - no tags or labels present. These will look fantastic in any mcm or atomic-themed setting! Measurements: Each lamp measures approx. 33" tall (measured from the bottom of the round wooden base to the top of the finial). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 24.25" high. The textured white ceramic portion of the base measures approx. 12" tall x 9" wide x 9" deep. The round wooden base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 6" in diameter. Condition: Both lamps are in very good condition. The ceramic is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The wooden neck and base are also in very nice shape as well. We have not done anything in attempt to clean / polish these lamps - they are being presented for sale in the exact condition in which they were acquired. The electrical wiring looks to be original on both lamps, and it is in good condition - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamps are both in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
